So there are a lot of things I think I should talk about since the last post.
So here goes, sorry if it gets too long.
Okay, my mind is flooding with things to blog about so let me get organized. Here are probably the short list of the things I'm going to talk about.
1. My 18th Birthday
2. Spending a day with Esther in Singapore
3. Teachers Day Celebration
Okay, so firstly, my eighteenth birthday celebration!
I guess being eighteen is a special milestone for everyone, including me.
Its the year we turn legal.
But other than just being able to do things I wish I can do before I was eighteen, being eighteen is certainly the end of the years of my life where I can get excused for being too young, childish, immature.
Being eighteen or an official adult meant I now have to start planning for my life, for my future.
And frankly speaking I am excited yet scared.
But that's enough of that now, lets talk about the fun stuff, which is how I celebrated that special day!
Okay so, my eighteen birthday started off really boringly, I had school. LOLLLLLLL
I got surprise by my girls who gave me a hand made book as my present.
That was probably the highlight of the entire day in school, I'm truly very very blessed heheh.
After lessons, I went to celebrate with someone special.
We went to walk around Botanical Gardens.
And had dinner at Bar Bar Black Sheep.
Its a bar that serves three different kind of cuisines, Thai cuisines, Indian cuisines and Western Cuisines.
And because it was my birthday, we ordered Thai Food. We ordered the set meal where we will have free flow of rice heheheh.
After that, we went to have desserts, at Island Creamery.
And we went home. But little did I know, he had something up his sleeve.
After reaching home, as usual, I did the things I would usually do. But everything changed when I open my room door.
My friends were hidden inside waiting to surprise me with a cake.
And secondly they were there inside hiding for hours.
It was truly a surprise I have never experienced.
And they ended my eighteen birthday on a even better note. :)
On this note, I would like to thank everyone who took time to surprise me and spend the day with me making a what was suppose to be a boring day because of school a fun and memorable one!
I would like to thank everyone who wished me too hehehe.
I'm grateful to God too for blessing me mightily in my life up till now, its been a adventure and I'm looking forward to the future. I know its not going to be easy, but I will face the unknown bravely.
Okay, now that the first part is done, lets move on to the second part of my post today.
!!Spending the day with Esther!!
It was after the first day of my exam paper, Esther, who is one of the translators we met during my YEP trip five months back.
She was going to Australia and will be transiting in Singapore, so we decided to being her around Singapore and spend time with her!
So I met up with few of my yep family and made our way to the airport from school.
We waited for almost half and hour at the departure gates and we were worried that we might have missed her but then we spot her!!
After successfully meeting her, we went to Marina Sky Garden!
And see the black plastic bags on the trolley, its Myanmar Mango, not one or ten but 50 of them!!
We were so shock that they bring 50 mango's all the way from Myanmar for us!
So yeah, we went to Marina Sky Garden :)
The place is really pretty, and relaxing :)
We wanted to being Esther and her friend to eat some nice local food but unfortunately they had to meet some other friends of theirs and we send them there and had a good catch up dinner :)
The short few hours spend was very very fun, its always nice to meet people who means a lot to you.
Seeing Esther for the few hours make missing Myanmar a little better, but I'm looking forward to the day we can all go back again and meet the kids who changed our life and the truck drivers and the other translators!
Okay, so this is random not on the list but after meeting Esther I spend the next six days studying for the last two papers and when the papers ended, I went to celebrate the end of Semester 2.1 with my girls!
We went to sing Karaoke at Cine! But a recommendation, I wouldn't go there much unless I have no choice because there is a heavy smoke smell.
Reason being is because the place have areas where they allow customers to smoke, and plus its air conditioned, it makes the whole place very smoky smelling.
But other than that, its a nice place to sing :)
After that we went to eat at Kiseki Japanese Buffet Restaurant at Orchard Central!
Endless supply of Salmon! yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Its crazy how we have finished 50% of our three years in poly. Time flies.
But all in all, semester 2.1 ended and I'm more than thankful it ended. Its been a hectic semester, with one month spend in Hong Kong, it made everything even more packed when we are back.
But good job to all of us for completing a crazy semester!!
The remaining semesters is going to be even more crazy but we can do it :)
Okay, so now the third thing I'm going to talk about is Teachers Day Celebration!
Okay so on the fourth of September I went back to my Alma Mater for teachers day celebration.
Its honestly very very weird, it feels weird to be back at the place where I use to spend most of my time in. Its good too seeing all the teachers and old schoolmates!
Its such a pity though the teacher that made me who I am today is leaving the school!
He believed in me when I was a nobody, gave me chance to take up leadership roles, plan projects, lead juniors making me change to who I am today.
My secondary school days is what it is because of your guidance and patience towards every student that came across you way.
Woodlands secondary has indeed loss yet another great teacher. Thank you Mr Yiu!
Wow, this post is getting way too long. But anyway that's pretty much it I guess, from where we left off from my last post till now. Its the holidays now and I promise myself during this holiday, I'm going to let my body replenish energy and have ample amount of rest before the start of another crazy semesters!
So here are some of the pictures here and there taken during the holidays!
Chay's birthday surprise!
Family Day!
Mooncake Festival!
Hui's birthday surprise!
Annoying Korean Boy. HAHAHAHAH
Anyway, the holiday has been great till this point!
It feels good to be blogging again :)
So I guess that's it for now!
Have a good Monday everyone, may something good happen to you today. xx
